From this launch there are unparalleled river views of the Mid-Hudson Bridge to the south and the old railroad bridge to the north. The old railroad bridge is currently being reconstructed as the famed Walkway Over the Hudson. Local college boathouses dot the shoreline to the north. Approximately 1 mile north of the launch point lies Quiet Cove.

CURRENT OFFERINGS
Launch Point: Public launch at Waryas Park. From Route 9 look for the "Waterfront Signs" and exit at Main Street. Follow Main Street towards the Hudson River, make a right onto Water Street, then into Waryas Park. Follow signs into the park.
Weather and water conditions will dictate a mid-tour landing point.
Learning to kayak safely, effectively and efficiently is best done with the help of a qualified instructor. The lead instructors for River Connection Kayak Instructional Courses are American Canoe Association (ACA) Certified Instructors.
Skills development courses are worth months of just paddling around. If you are interested in learning more kayaking skills, consider one of our Kayak Instructional Programs.
