GREAT HUDSON RIVER DAY PADDLE :: PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
The essence of the day paddle is to become part of the GHRP: to
celebrate the Hudson River water trail and its river communities. In
order to do this seamlessly, day paddlers must be on a similar skill
level of the GHRP thru-paddlers. For the safety and enjoyment of all
participants, we regret that this event is not for the beginner
paddler.
Due to the length of the day paddle and in order to allow the group
as a whole to maintain a reasonable pace, the minimum eligibility
criteria to participate in a day paddle with the River Connection is
1 year active touring kayaking experience or completion of an
American Canoe Association Introduction to Kayaking course.
If you are unsure if you meet the minimum eligibility requirements
to participate in the day paddle, please contact us directly to
discuss your current skill set which will help make a determination
for this years event. No one under the age of 16 may participate in this event.
Cost $100 per person. Your tuition includes use of all equipment for the duration of the day paddle. Please see our Policy Page for additional information.
An informal shuttle service will be provided back to the launch area.
