WELCOME to The River Connection.

The River Connection is New Yorks Hudson River Valley year-round resource for all things paddling. The River Connection is so much more than a paddling specialty shop, offering: accredited instructional programs; a refined selection of paddlers gear; expert installation; outfitting and advice. The River Connection is the Hudson River Valley Paddlers Resource and Gear Shop.

Owned and operated by a husband and wife team who are both American Canoe Association Instructors, The River Connection is a place where you can always expect prompt, professional service by qualified and professional paddlers.

The River Connection grew out of our strong love for the sport of kayaking and our nomadic instructional business that was started with just four kayaks. We may have a gear store now, but our goal remains the same, getting people on the water and excited about paddling. Come in and see for yourself why most say the River Connection is the Hudson Valley Paddlers Resource and Gear Shop; a place where paddling is the soul focus and not just an afterthought.

The River Connection has been connecting paddlers for too many years to count in the USA and abroad.

As an American Canoe Association Pro Paddlesports School, we offer a broad range of kayaking skills development courses: from the basics to rolling. If you are interested in sightseeing and going places, consider one of our guided Kayak Tours or create a special adventure of your own design.

In addition to stardardized sea kayaking skill building courses, we also offer ACA Instructor Certification Courses.

When we are not paddling, we also enjoy the terrestrial sport of Nordic Walking. Nordic Walking is a fabulous way to tour the many regional parks and historic estates in the Hudson River Valley while enjoying the benefits of a full body, low-impact workout.
